Director of the Shandong Maritime Safety Administration Hai Yu Wang conducted work inspection at Seacon Shipping Group.

    On 26th of June, Guo Jin Kui, Chairman of Seacon Shipping Group, Chen Ze Kai, General Manager, Zhao Yong, President of the Ship Management Group, and other department heads warmly welcome director of the Shandong Maritime Safety Administration Wang Hai Yu visited Seacon Shipping Group, accompany with Safety Department, Ship Department, Technology and Information Department.

The purpose of this visit was to gather the corporates feedback and suggestions on maritime management. At the research seminar, Chairman Guo Jin Kui introduced the company own fleets and the operational management system; Director Wang pays attention to the company's development plans, safety management, crew management, and particularly modern technological ship safety management. He also focuses on the design construction of new fuel ship types, such as LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) and methanol-powered vessels.

During his visit, Director Wang Hai Yu provided on-site guidance on collision prevention for commercial, fishing vessels, transportation of easily flowing cargo, CO2 fixed firefighting systems, and crew training. Moreover, Director Wang further give suggestion towards the challenges that the company is encountering he helped optimize maritime government service measures and give suggestion to achieve high-quality development.

Director Wang Hai Yu emphasized that, as an international leading shipping company, Seacon Shipping Group must implement the important speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping on safety production and his inspection of Shandong. The company should continue to play a leading role in the industry, fulfill its responsibilities in safety management. However, some key risk controls aspects should be improved, such as collision prevention for commercial, fishing vessels, equipment failure, the promotion of new technologies in ship safety management, digitalization, and green energy.
