Seacon Shipping Group was invited to participate in the seminar of Contemporary Maritime Women’s Lifelong Education and Development

On December 4, 2024, the Second Pudong Shipping Week Series event, the Contemporary Maritime Women’s Lifelong Education and Development Seminar, was successfully held in Shanghai. The seminar brought together female experts and scholars from the shipping and education industries. The discussions focused on pathways strategies aimed at inspiring innovation leadership in the industry.

 During the event, the “Student Career Development Mentor” ceremony was also held. Liu Ji Qing, Secretary of the Party Branch at Beicai High School, presented certificates to four leaders from the shipping industry: Chen Qian Qian, Party Secretary of Shanghai Anji Logistics; Zhuang Cai Xia, HR Director of Seacon Shipping Group; Wang Jing Wen, Deputy Director of the China Shipowners Mutual Assurance Association; and Tang Xiao Ting, an outstanding national teacher from the BoShang "Innovation New Gravity" program.

The seminar's theme was “Education and Development for Women in Shipping.” The discussion focused primarily on the development of women in shipping, career path planning, mental health support, and leadership; It also addressed issues related to gender equality and inclusiveness. The seminar emphasized that, as the industry continues to grow rapidly, the role of women in shipping will become increasingly important. Supporting their growth and leadership development will be a key factor in the sustainable development of the industry.

During the seminar, the “Women in Shipping” video channel was launched to enhance the influence of women in the shipping industry and promote professional development networking. The shipping industry has pledged to continue supporting women by offering new effective ideas for their development.
